FEATURE MEMBER OF THE MONTH – Elysse Beasley, Licensed Professional Counselor
Elysse Beasley, M.A. is a nationally certified licensed professional counselor and Senior Psychological Examiner with more than 13 years of professional experience and 23 years as a teacher of students with learning disabilities. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Psychology in 1974. She holds both a Masters of Arts degree in Special Education from Peabody College and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University.
Beasley’s areas of expertise include helping people with anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, major depression, and children and adults with learning disabilities (ADD & ADHD). (includes lunch) Conference begins with check-in and
networking at 10:30 a.m.; ends at 5 p.m.

Conference Outline:

Check-in and Networking at 10:30 a.m.

Luncheon and keynote at 11:30 a.m.

Breakout sessions begin at 1 p.m., that day participants will chooses two of the five sessions from above.

Participants will choose two out of five breakout sessions during the afternoon at 1 p.m.

Panel discussion and wrap-up session at 4:15 p.m.

Destination Rutherford News
In the December issue of Business Facilities Magazine, Rutherford County was recognized for having one of the Top 15 Biggest Deals of 2003. The article highlights Nissan North American’s plans to move their Pathfinder vehicle production from Japan to their Smyrna, TN facility. The entire text of the article can be seen by clicking here.

Business Facilities Magazine also recognized Rutherford County for having one of the best locations in the country for locating a call center. The article focuses on last year’s announcement that Verizon Wireless would locate it largest call center facility in the Nation to Murfreesboro. Verizon Wireless President Denny Strigl said in the article stated that, “I’m here today to tell you we made a wise decision.” You can read the entire article by clicking here.

In support of Destination Rutherford’s Advocacy Initiative, the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce has been tapped to head a task force that will investigate possible new revenue sources for the community. This task force is composed of city and county officials, as well as other concerned citizens in the community. The group meets every Tuesday evening at 5:00 p.m. at the Chamber offices. Held on the first Tuesday of every month, The Net is an opportunity for monthly networking with fellow Chamber members.  The next gathering will be July 6, from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m., at the Chamber of Commerce.
